Get Moving!
CHADD is part of a social movement more than twenty years in the
making that seeks to reshape how society treats, accommodates, and views
people with AD/HD. Our movement is made up of countless individuals with
AD/HD, their families, teachers, friends, and leaders in the mental
health field. We realize the most effective way to accomplish our goals
is through sustained and strategic outreach to policymakers on the state
and federal levels. The leaders of our movement are recognized and
respected in the halls of Congress, in statehouses across the country,
and in meetings where public policy is interpreted.
As a political philosopher once observed, a movement is a group of
people moving. That is certainly what is happening at CHADD. We are
moving and we are moving people to make a difference for people with
AD/HD. And we need your help. We want you to have the information
you need to make a difference where you live. We also want you to be
armed with information to make a difference in your own life, whether
that means dealing with issues in the classroom, the boardroom, or your
living room. This section of the CHADD Web site provides you with
information on public policy and how you can take action. We look
forward to seeing you on the frontlines.
