Find an Adult Support Group
One of the challenges of dealing with ADHD every
day is a feeling of isolation. Not many people understand that so
much of ADHD is unintentional. It's a function of how your brain works.
Joining a support group of other adults with ADHD breaks that isolation
and allows you to share your experiences with others who really get
it. No judgments here - just support and brain storming. Here
are several ways for you to connect with other adults with ADHD.
Check with your local CHADD group
Many of our larger affiliates have a support group just for adults.
If your local group doesn't have an adult support group, volunteer to
start one. Your local coordinator can help you get
started. Support groups are open to both members and
nonmembers. Find
your local group contact information here.
