Evolutionary Origins of ADHD: Exploring a New Theory
End Date March 31, 2021
Primary Contact Jonathan Bloch
The purpose of this research study is to explore a new theory about the evolutionary origins of ADHD, and about why it often co-occurs with special abilities (2E, or Twice Exceptionality), and to consider some of the resulting implications for ADHD interventions.
Study participants (who either have ADHD themselves, or work with those who have ADHD) will be sent, through Dropbox, a 12-minute long film explaining the theory, and be asked to schedule an interview. They will watch the film at their own convenience, and then do the interview with the researcher over Zoom, between February and March 2021.
