Study Details
Purpose of the Study
The purpose of the proposed pilot study is to utilize a novel web-based program to improve overall parent-child relationship quality. This would potentially provide caregivers with a more accessible and affordable treatment option and reduce attrition rates often exhibited with such treatments. The pilot study will serve to establish how caregivers perceive the program in terms of feasibility and acceptability. Additionally, the pilot study will examine the effects of the program on parent-child communication, parent-child conflict, parenting behaviors (e.g., involvement, monitoring, punishment), and parents’ reports of child behavior (e.g., emotional symptoms, conduct problems, prosocial behavior). The proposed project will serve as the first stage of a larger project with the aim of developing a randomized control trial in the future.
