Study on cognitive control in children with ADHD finds abnormal neural connectivity patterns in multiple brain regions
A new study has identified abnormal brain connectivity in children with ADHD. The findings have been published in Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging. Functional connectivity is a measure of the correlation between neural activity in different brain regions. When brain regions show similar patterns of activity at the same time when performing specific tasks, it is an indication that they are communicating with each other.
