Heather DeAngelis, LCSW specializes in working with adults with ADHD, particularly high-achieving professionals and women with more internalized presentations that are often overlooked or misunderstood. Many of her clients are intelligent, capable, and trying incredibly hard — yet still find themselves feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, inconsistent, or stuck. They often spent years being treated for anxiety, depression, burnout, or “lack of motivation” before realizing ADHD may have been part of the picture all along. ADHD impacts far more than attention. It can affect executive functioning, emotional regulation, motivation, follow-through, relationships, and daily functioning. Many clients struggle not because they are lazy or unmotivated, but because the strategies they have relied on are no longer sustainable. Heather’s approach is active, practical, and collaborative, integrating evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based strategies, executive functioning support, and emotional regulation work. Therapy focuses not only on insight, but on implementation and real-life change. Her goal is to help clients better understand how their brain works, reduce overwhelm, improve consistency, and build practical strategies that actually fit their lives.
