Dr. Cindy is an AET Board Certified Educational Therapist. She welcomes clients from all cultures and experiences while specializing in mentoring high-potential, creative, and gifted individuals with ADHD as they navigate the educational process. These learners may also have Dyslexia, mild ASD, anxiety, perfectionism, or other processing & learning obstacles due to their complex cognitive processes. Dr. Hansen uses a strengths-based approach to help clients understand their paradoxical skill sets, offers enrichment for talent areas, provides focused intervention for obstacles, and respectfully supports clients' high cognitive functioning, interests, and potential talents. Dr. Hansen, an award-winning educator for over 40 years, past-president of the Tri-County GATE Council, a SENG Model Parent Group Facilitator, and is an active member of the Association of Educational Therapists. Cindy holds three CA teaching Credentials & certificates in Gifted and Talented Education and Twice-exceptional Education. In 2026 she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the California Association for the Gifted.
