Counseling Services | Social Worker

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing telehealth therapy to clients living in California and Connecticut. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or frustrated by patterns in their lives that may be connected to ADHD. As a mental health professional who also has ADHD, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. Many of the adults I work with were not diagnosed with ADHD until later in life and are looking to better understand patterns in their past while building strategies for the future. I support clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, school difficulties, self-esteem concerns, substance use, and concussion or brain injury. I also work with children, adolescents, and teens. I also have experience working with veterans and clients who identify as LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities. My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative, and direct. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore how their brain works and develop strategies that support their goals. My clinical work is informed by current ADHD research as well as my lived experience, allowing me to help clients better understand how ADHD shows up in their daily lives, work, and relationships. In my work I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients better understand ADHD, strengthen executive functioning skills, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. I also have experience supporting clients navigating ADHD alongside concussion or other brain injuries. I am the co-author of the upcoming book 128 Questions About ADHD, written with Edward M. Hallowell, which focuses on helping adults explore and better understand their ADHD experiences. I accept a variety of insurance plans. Please contact me for the most current list of accepted insurance.
