Dr. Lisa LoPinto is a Licensed Psychologist with a PhD in Combined Clinical and School Psychology, who spent more than five years as a School Psychologist on Long Island before going into private practice. Dr. LoPinto treats children and adolescents (ages 2-18) with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and behavior/impulse control difficulties using Cognitive-Behavioral strategies aimed at improving self-control, emotional control, compliance/cooperation, planning and organization, working memory, problem-solving, social skills, and self-monitoring. Treatment may include working with a child individually, jointly with their parents, and/or with their parents only. LoPinto has extensive knowledge of special education services and is available to parents and school districts to attend Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings and/or Section 504 meetings as necessary, and to consult with teachers and school staff.
