Amy Vanderpool
Contact Name Amy Vanderpool
I am an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider specializing in late-diagnosed ADHD adults and the LGBTQ+ community. My holistic, whole-person approach recognizes the interplay of neurobiological, psychological, social, and cultural factors affecting wellbeing. I center clients as experts on their own experiences, fostering a collaborative, egalitarian relationship built on trust and respect. My integrative practice draws from ACT, Narrative, Psychodynamic, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, and skills-based modalities like CBT and DBT. I utilize both top-down (cognitive/reflective) and bottom-up (somatic/emotional) strategies, and work from a neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, decolonial, and liberation psychology lens. As a queer clinician with ADHD, I am passionate about affirming neurodivergent identities and helping adults live empowered, authentic lives.
