Participants will gain practical strategies for managing ADHD in military environments, fostering resilience, and building strong support networks. Tailored for parents, educators, and service members, this session provides actionable tools and resources to navigate ADHD effectively within the context of military life.

Brandi Walker, PhD, is the CEO of Marie Pauline Consulting, LLC, her private practice dedicated to providing educational, clinical, and psychological guidance and expertise to organizations and individuals seeking to improve their social climate, employee and customer relations, and/or enhance their cultural humility and cultural consciousness. An alumna of Howard University and University of Maryland, she was recently a clinical psychologist and faculty member at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Dr. Walker is a newly retired commissioned Army officer who has worked directly with veterans, service members, and their families for over a decade. She proved critical to the development of initiatives and collaborations that are in sync with the Army’s holistic health and fitness programming. Dr. Walker maintains an earnest desire to further what is known about ADHD and provides therapeutic expertise and research-informed support to affected families and individuals.  She spent the last seven years working with various hospitals, clinics, and schools conducting research on children with ADHD, their families, and various sleep variables and environmental factors of influence. Her community efforts entail collaboratively initiating the Prince George’s County (Maryland) CHADD chapter and CHADD’s Southern Regional Support Center. She recently started Villages Overcoming Intersections: the Collaborative Empowerment (VOICE) for Neurodiversity, a research-based nonprofit pursuing access to care and quality of life for individuals and/or communities encountering systemic and societal obstacles.
