Mindfulness Therapy Promising for ADHD in Children

In fact, preliminary results from the Mindfulness-Based ADHD Treatment for Children (MBAT-C) pilot study are so encouraging that the National Institutes of Health has funded the next phase of the investigation ― a three-arm, randomized controlled trial comparing the mindfulness-based intervention with a medication-only intervention and a combined mindfulness-medication intervention...The findings were published online in the October issue of the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and were presented here at the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) 66th Annual Meeting.
