If your child is living with ADHD, or if you think your child is living with ADHD, you know how it affects many aspects of their life: school, friendships, and home life, to name a few. Your family could help advance research for an investigational option for children with ADHD by participating in the FOCUS-2 study.
What is the FOCUS-2 Study?
The FOCUS-2 study is a clinical research study for children ages 6-11. The goal of this study is to see if solriamfetol is a safe and effective option for children with ADHD. Solriamfetol is approved by the FDA for adults who have excessive daytime sleepiness due to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and narcolepsy, which are sleep-related disorders. Solriamfetol is an investigational medication for ADHD, meaning it has not yet been approved by any health authority for the treatment of ADHD.
Study participation may last up to 12 weeks and may include up to 7 in-clinic visits and up to 2 remote (phone call) visits. At the end of 12 weeks, your child may be invited to take part in an extension study for an additional year where all participants receive solriamfetol. Compensation for time and travel may be provided if your child is eligible and participates.
Who Can Participate?
The FOCUS-2 study is looking for children who*:
- Are 6-11 years old
- Have a primary diagnosis of ADHD, or are suspected of having ADHD, which will be confirmed at the first visit
- Can swallow medicine capsules with water
*Additional eligibility criteria apply
Why Participate?
If your child is eligible to participate:
- They may receive the investigational medication.
- They may also receive study-related care and study evaluations at no cost.
- You may also receive compensation for your time and travel.
- Your child may have the opportunity to help advance potential new medications for children with ADHD*.
