  • Have trouble waiting or standing in line?

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is conducting an outpatient research study on the effect of impulsivity on the developing brain in children and adolescents.

What the study involves:

  • A visit, lasting 2 to 8 hours to the outpatient clinic at the NIH Clinical Center
  • Brain scan (without radiation)
  • Tests of learning and memory
  • Blood draw or saliva sample for genetic tests

Compensation and transportation assistance may be provided

Participants may qualify if:

  • Between ages 6 and 17
  • Medically Healthy
  • Live in the DC, MD, VA region
