Study Details

Are you a young adult woman who was not diagnosed with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) until young adulthood (18-35 years old) and/or after being misdiagnosed? Share your experiences and help advance our understanding of neurodiversity and gender in ADHD.

Participants:

  • Cis-gender (she/her) Women aged 21-35
  • Diagnosed with ADHD at 18 years or older and/or misdiagnosed before an ADHD diagnosis
  • Diagnosis of ADHD recommended to be received at least six months prior
  • Able to participate in a confidential Microsoft Teams interview

Who Is Not Eligible:

  • Diagnosed with ADHD in childhood or early adolescence
  • Do not identify as cis-gender woman (she/her)
  • Unable to provide informed consent or fluently speak English
  • Have severe cognitive impairments impacting participation

What to Expect:

  • A brief screening survey (under 5 minutes)
  • A short virtual meeting to confirm eligibility and review consent (20-40 minutes)
  • A short demographic questionnaire (5–10 minutes)
  • A Microsoft Teams interview containing questions about your experiences, coping strategies, and relationships (90-120 minutes)
  • Your participation is completely voluntary and confidentia
  • Total time commitment: approximately 2.5 to 3 hours

This study is not therapy and is designed purely for research purposes.
