Evekeo ODT Approved for Younger Patients With ADHD

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded the approval for Evekeo ODT (amphetamine sulfate; Arbor Pharmaceuticals) to include patients 3 to 5 years of age for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Previously, the treatment was indicated for patients 6 to 17 years of age.

To estimate the association between Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children in preschool and primary school, and prenatal exposure to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) by timing and duration. This study was based on the Norwegian Mother, Father and Child Cohort Study Study linked to the Medical Birth Registry of Norway, the Norwegian Patient Registry (NPR) and the Norwegian Prescription Database (NorPD).
