Study Details

My name is Leah Payne, M.A., and I am conducting a research study in fulfillment of a Clinical Psychology doctoral degree at The Chicago School.

The purpose of this study is to develop a greater understanding of the lived experiences of ADHD in people assigned female at birth, as well as investigate the impact of hormonal and menstrual cycles across the lifespan.

To participate, you must:

  • Be 18+ years old
  • Have been assigned female at birth (all gender identities welcome)
  • Have been formally diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Currently live in the U.S.

During this study, you will be asked to complete a survey, through SurveyMonkey, about your lived experience of ADHD, process of diagnosis, symptom management over time, treatment (including medication management), and lifespan hormonal and menstrual cycle experiences. This survey will take approximately 20 minutes.

After completing the survey, if you are interested in participating in an interview regarding your responses, you will be prompted to provide your email address for future contact. Interviews are not guaranteed for those who provide their emails. Interviews will be over Zoom privately and will last 45 minutes to an hour. Audio recording will take place.
